On one of the hottest weekends that we’ve had so far, over 3,000 people attended the 2014 Wedgwood Arts Festival at Our Lady of the Lake on July 12th and 13th. It was the largest festival to date.

Here are some great facts about this year’s event:

  • Event organizers conducted surveys with the artists and 92% said the festival was worth their time and money, which is great for the community and local vendors
  • The support from the Our Lady of the Lake staff was great and they have already invited the festival to return next year; the new space enabled the festival to grow 50%! This year they had 77 artists, up from 46 last year.
  • There were 8 bands playing live music – including 2 nationally touring bands.
  • With the new location, the event was able to group the food vendors together and give them better access to reliable electricity. Food vendors included Veraci Pizza, Athena
