Nothing says summer like street fairs and community festivals and Wedgwood is getting into the act right now, through 5 p.m. with the Wedgwood Art Festival at Hunter Tree Farm at NE 80th Street and 35th Avenue NE.

In its 5th year, the festival just gets better and better, this year featuring live music all day long, plus food and, of course, tons of booths featuring local artists, plus booths on sustainability and Wedgwood history.

Hundreds of families were out this afternoon catching the sun, listening to afternoon tunes from the 85th Street Big Band, eating pizza from Veraci and Jet City, doughnuts from Top Pot and perusing booths featuring crafts from local artisans, photos, paintings and more. Crazy Captain Jenny (Jennifer Carroll) led kids on a Pirate Ship Adventure in search of treasures.

It’s the sort of festival Wedgwood neighbors increasingly are saying they want and it was very well-attended with hundreds and hundreds of families coming and going throughout the day. Stop by until 5 p.m. to get in on the fun.
