Global Water Dances, a worldwide event/performance to raise awareness of water issues around the world, will take place in 60 cities around the world on June 25th at 5 p.m. local time.
The performance here will be 5 p.m. at Kite Hill in Magnuson Park, 7400 Sand Point Way N.E.
Organizers say it will begin with an introduction by Fran Solomon, an environmental biologist who will speak for 15 minutes about local water issues.
Then will come a series of dance and movement choir performances, culminating in an opportunity for the entire audience to join in a simple participatory movement sequence. There is no charge for attending.
The event starts PROMPTLY at 5:00 (in order to stay in synch with all of the other cities), so please come with enough time to get settled. Attendees might want to bring a lawn chair or blanket for sitting in the grass.
